Coat of arms of the Drăculești family
The Draculesti family was one of two competing branches of the Basarab family that ruled the Wallachia Voivodeship. (The other was the Dănești or Dan branch.) It was from this branch that the most notorious and well-known member of the Draculești family, Vlad III Tepes, also known as Dracula, came.
